FINALLY!!! I think I've about forgotten how to kite. There hasn't been much wind north of Salt Lake lately. I came up to Bear Lake this afternoon, hoping that the forecast was going to be accurate. It was. I was kiting in the Pickleville area (south of Garden City). The wind started out from the south west, which means it's gusty and blows you out to sea. It started switching to the northwest but still up and down. I finally gave up and then noticed another kite up off the Garden City Beach. It didn't look like it was having success either. Finally, about 5:30pm, I tried it again on a low but steady north wind. I had a great time. It went for well over an hour. I didn't see my friend to the north which was too bad. Anyway, I'm happy to report that I finally got a good day in.

I can see I'm going to have to join you folks down on UL.
