Went down to lindon after work to find 5mph or so of wind vs the 20+ forecasted. Spoke to TJ, who had just come off the water at DC and said it was still kiteable, so i headed up there since it was on my way home anyway. arrived to 12-15mph winds and rigged the 14. just as i was launching, the first bit of drizzle started, but i headed out anyway. had an hour and 15 minutes of relatively smoothe wind for DC, kind of rolled up and down from 14-20 in a steady drizzle. I kept looking over my shoulder and it never looked like it was getting worse until around 6 when i decided it would be a good idea to get off the water. as i came in the wind came up pretty quickly to around 30mph so i decided to dump the kite to a front line while still in the water instead of risking getting yanked around. Not so easy getting from the end of the line to the kite in strong winds, but finally got it done.

So, lets see... kited in the rain, 48 degrees. alone. Maybe its time to admit i have a problem.

Hello. My name is Jason, and i'm a kiteaholic.
