Got to Lincoln at about 430 and was by myself until Trevor showed up. Bluffdale seemed like it was dropping, and the wind didn't seem super strong, so I rigged the 14 and drift launched to applause from people in cars - funny. I played on the glass and waves for a bit, and then busted out my 128 Freak Dog Tracker. Fun board - waaaaaaay different than the cruiser pro. It jumps really well, and was the only reason that I didn't have to rig my 11 which would have been the better option for sure. Trevor started out with his 8m kite and had zero problems with the wind. There were a few times when I was close to shore that a gust would make things a teensy uncomfortable, but damn did we have fun. I was able to kill the power on the kite and surf briefly just about every trip out of the jetty. Carving the flats was super fun, and jumping was just out of hand. Stayed warm enough in my 3/4 w booties and helmet. Got a little chilly at the end when I was cooling down. One of the best days for me ever.
