Had thought that the year was over at Grantsville, however Mike Egan and I enjoyed one more spectacular morning. I got there about 8:00, rigged a 6.7, before I even had my wet suit on, I decided I better rig down to a 5.7. Sailed all morning on a “flat 5.7†and a 85 liter board, Mike on a 5.8... both of us really "wound up" just about the entire time. Probably one of the windier days we’ve had at Grants this year, as we could have been on a 5.0-ish for most of the morning. Looks like it blew into the afternoon. Couldn’t believe how warm it was... It was 40 degrees and calm (maybe a little north) as I went through the town of Grantsville at 7:45am, and by the time I got to the lake it was 60 degrees! The thermometer in my truck went up 20 degrees in about ½ mile! Gotta love that warm south wind. (Left at about noon with a temp of 72!) One more time tomorrow????
