Dec 14/15 Skyline 10-15 meter

Postby windzup » Tue Dec 15, 2009 12:53 pm

Yesterday the crew hit perfect conditions at Skyline. As riders poured into the Triangle after sunset every one was claiming the best day of their lives. Deep bottomless powder and powered wind on large kites.

Perfect skies, fast moving clouds above, and crazy orange anp purple colors at sunset.

Tekko arrived with his LF gear and the Jackcon boys stuck around as well. It was a perfect day for the Twisted boards and Will was raving about it in the pow.

Today is still rolling, light winds had the 15 Mantas and 17 meter inflatables up. In the almost non-existent wind, the Mantas were able to launch more easily and made it to the top of th hill. The 17's were getting up, but it will be curious to see how those 2 wings compare in more realistic light winds in the 8-10 range. So far in 5-8mph the foils are in the lead. I just came down to meet a shipment of Ozone kites arriving today, then I'll be back up for the sunset session.

Plenty of snow now, everything covered, winter is finally here in full force. The storm was so deep and intense it collapsed the Mountain Hardwear tent under a 8 foot drift... SICK!
