5/1 Malibu 12 then 9m big board

I was about 5+ miles NW of Malibu beach. When I got there, I was the only kiter and not much wind. I pumped up my 16 and by the time I was ready, it was a 12m wind. So I pumped it up and went out for a couple of hours of great fun. One other guy joined me. I came in for a break and everyone showed up. There were at least a half dozen kiters. I went back out and this time was holding on for dear life. So I switched down to my 9 and had some more fun. All in all, a great day.

The wind meter shows some big gusts but it was pretty steady. It just kept increasing throughout the day.
