I've been windsurfing and/or kiting in the gorge every summer since 1984 and I can not remember so many strong steady windy days in a row ever. I spent every day on 7m or 9m (with the exception of one east wind day on a 13m) and I really could have used a 5m some of the days. I kept looking forward to a relaxing 11m session but every day was cranking. The swells both at Wells Island and out east at Rufus were huge. Great wave riding and big air time. By the time the wind shut down Friday I was toast with bad shin splints from jumping and it was time to come home and nurse my wounds. Hope Marty and the rest of the Utah contigent get some great riding as the westerlies return today.
