Wind readings looked pretty decent at Willard yesterday, so I thought it might repeat again today. I arrived to find 10 mph wind. I pulled out the big kite and made one powered reach and then the wind shutdown. I sat there for 10 minutes and decided to swim to shore. Swam for 15 minutes and then the wind came back. Rode for about 10 minutes then it shutdown for 2 minutes. Then the wind came back solid in the 15 mph range. I proceeded to ride upwind and jump for the boating crowd. Rode for 45 minutes well-powered and then it started to fade again. I decided not to try my luck and called it a day. Unlike DC the wind was never squirrelly or even the slightest bit gusty. Water was nice and warm.
