9 days straight with a real premium Doug's day on 3.7 to start. Sailed with Stuart, Darren, Melinda, and Gunars, with
appearances by John Freed, Mike Egan, Ivan Earl, and Ken Onstott. Some days were brief but good (like a day at The
Wall), others more than enough, but mostly just great. Mid Summer in the Gorge, my fantasy. Check out the new
Hood River Waterfront Park. A sweet place to bring your family and then slip in a few ripp'n fetches between playing
with your kids on the climbing walls, and/or picnicking with the SO under the enclosures. Free, free, free, and as yet
uncrowded. Nice enclosed swimming area with sand. The park is also good for a quick fix if ya live in town and
hafta work ;*). On my way back the 19th, and again over the Labor day week, so come finish out the Summer season
and get in front of my vidcam for UWA posterity.
