Very surprised when a SW breeze appeared about 9:30 and rapidly increased. Not quite as strong as yesterday but, initially at least, MUCH steadier. Got on the water about 10:15 and sailed for around an hour as the wind gradually increased. At that point, it was rig down or go home, and having gotten a good thrashing yesterday, I chose the latter. Although the water is still deep enough for fin clearance at the northern end of DC, floating weeds are now a significant problem, especially along the eastern shore. A weed fin is, IMHO, almost a necessity for poleboarders who want to launch from Charleston Bridge.
