Halloween DC

Not as scary (wickedly gusty) as I expected. Not much wind at IB when I arrived a little before 2, although there were a few slight caps upwind on the far side. So I did my standard no wind drill - pray and rig "The Beast," my 9.5. And sure enough, by the time I had the 9.5 rigged there was enough wind for it, in fact, a bit too much a lot of the time. After half an hour of wrestling with The Beast, I rigged down to my 8.5, which was about right until the wind started backing off. Not all that cold; I wore dishwashing gloves, but probably didn't really need them. A couple of cars at DCBB and two kites in the air as I drove home. Much better than Friday!
