Launched Zephyr early on Saturday and was pretty much the only one out there as others watched. 2-4 foot waves, floaty airs. Just a really good time. Came in to get a smaller board, and then I came in again to get the teeny board. And then I was officially lit up. Full depower, waves getting overhead and getting launched a few times. Everyone rigged and came out, did one lap, and then the wind slowed down again. Once again I was the only one out there. I had a big smile on my face and crawled home happily.

Today I launched 10.5 and the waves were BIIIG. Sailboats disappearing in the swell big. I snapped a line close to shore and my kite looped about 10 times taking me to shore without getting hammered in the break. I thought that was pretty good luck all tings considered. Went out with a different bar until I just couldn't hold down 10.5 anymore. Launched 7.5 and got into some #%@ing hairy spots. I felt my nose try to dive about 1/2 way down a big wave and I just thought "Oh God, please not now." Somehow I made it. There were a few times where I had so much speed from the wave that I thought I would get dragged across the beach when I got to the end of the wave. I haven't dropped in on anything all that big yet, but towing in from the side of forming faces has gone pretty well. No major catastrophes, but I may need a new wetsuit after today. :^^
