12-14-10 7-15 meter winds

Clear skies all day with high clouds passing by. The morning was smooth 11-12m winds, nicely powered. Students were cruising on 7-9m Kites. Afternoon brought a cloud line moving westerly above us, while the ground winds were predominately South. Entirely south actually, except where the terrain would bend the wind. When that front passed overhead the winds got punchy, almost ugly but nothing modern kites didn't absorb easily. Then it powered in good again for all sizes. For me and my student it was 11 Frenzy and 10 Access weather and we toured the Winduro route along the ridge, sessioning along the way. It started getting light around 3pm and then died completely, before picking up again as we left. The few kites stranded on Bosco Hill arose and looked powered on the ridge again.
Lots of crew out, visiting kiters from Texas and MN, along with Tyler, Todd, Dave G, Heather and other friends. Pretty sweet day, looking forward to a fresh coat of snow tonight to cover the passed weekends tracks.

BTW- Not sure if its the new One Ball Jay Rub on Wax, or the 2011 Frenzy's, but high speeds are kicking in for me regular with consistent 45 mph runs today. So fun riding fast across the slope and then hitting the downwind side and just gaining speed as you rally down hill.
