2/18 Pow Mow 11m Frenzy Twisted

Got to the mountain about 11:30. Launched just a little down from the parking lot. There were two other kites already in the air. Snow was a little crusty on the hill by the parking lot, but I think it always is. The main hill was wind blown with patches of crust and powder. The snow got better and deeper the further down the hill you went. The wind had some east to it even though the meter said that it was SSW-SW all day. After kiting for a little while the wind kicked it up a notch and we were nicely powered. The wind filled in all the way down the hill. I made some runs further down the canyon that I have ever gone and didn't have any trouble getting back. Decided to pack it up when the wind kicked it up another notch. Meter said it was 31 gusting to 35. Thanks to the hint of east in the wind direction I didn't have any problem getting back to the parking lot.
