Arrived about 9:20 to John hurriedly rigging his 5.7. It looked pretty windy so I rigged the 5.5. Neither one of us ever regretted the sail choice. It just kept blowing and blowing (low to mid 20’s with gust near 30). John commented about how steady the wind was for the 1st hour. The latter half of the session we started getting some bigtime gusts. We finally gave up close to 1:00 when our bodies gave out. Started off pretty frigid but finally climbed into the upper 50’s. The water is still frigid. It was nice to have it filled in enough to rig the 85L boards. I have been using to 115L board just to make sure I got back to shore. The lake is filling fast and it is only about 20 yards from the fence. I got tons of screaming reaches on the little silver Sonic with John in close pursuit on his JP. We were both grinning ear to ear when we were done.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
