5/24 Rush 14M

First time to Rush, first time on water this year. Both were great. I was there alone from 2-4 and rode mostly powered on 14m. For a bit it came in intervals where my 14m wasn't quite enough-- that plus my mediocre light-wind riding skills. Just stating the truth-- I need some light wind tips/skills!

Anyway, I wasn't sure if I even set up in the right place on a North because I was on the west side where I found a new road that goes down pretty close to the lake. I saw some video from someone last week at that spot but they were on a south, which would make more sense. On the north today, I was a bit close to the mountains and it felt like there was some down pressure and dead spots and extra gusting.

I tried to to get down to the lake on the east side in a few spots, but there were locked gates. From the UWA map it looks like I was in the right spot. Anyway, my question is, do you setup in a different place on a North vs South? It seems like a it would be better on the east side and a little further south on the lake-- but if no access, no go.

Bottom line--- WHAT A SWEET SPOT to ride! Water was great, flat, warm, shallow. All around awesome spot. I hope it lasts this year for a while.
