Duane Karren and I headed for Rush lake around noon and ran into rain by the KC smelter. Thinking it might be a wash out we rounded the curve by lake point and saw the Great Salt lake was full capping out of the North so we kept going with 5.0 to 6.0 visions in our heads. Arrived at Rush with caps on the water but less wind than we hoped for so we rigged big.... me 6.9 and DK on a 7.5, Turned out to be the right call with enough fully powered reaches to make this a keeper and the 1st day at Rush since 2002 for me. Craig was right on with his 7.5 call for today. One Kiter out (Chase) rode with us for several hours until the wind back off around 4:30. Nice way to get a tune up for my first day sailing this season
