Sulfur 3-day blowout(6/24-26), 7.0, 115L, 135L

Got back from Vegas Thursday afternoon and was craving some sailing. Sulfur really came through for a 3 day weekend of wind. John and Adam joined me Friday, Bob and Doug Saturday, and a whole crew of sailors Sunday. Friday it waited until almost 3:00 before it came on strong but then provided some really filled in conditions. I was determined to sail until the wind died and ended up pulling off at 7:30 totally beat up with the wind still blowing hard enough to complicate derigging. Hooray for solstice week and evening sailing. But if you drive home late be prepared to have your whole car frontend plastered with bugs. Saturday it was great to see Bob and Doug for the first time this year. Doug was always the one to emulate at Rush watching him cruise around with hands off the boom. And Bob is still racing around on that screaming Petit. Sunday had some of the highest gusts but also the most holes providing lots of screaming reaches intermixed with looking over the shoulder for the next blast. Sunday John and I sailed until 6:00 just to get our money’s worth. What a great weekend.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
