Dawn patrol was too early, the unbelievably consistent wind that was blowing from 2:30-5:00, when it didn't vary more than 1-2 mph up or down (can you believe it? -- check the data), backed off as soon as I was rigged, so I just took some slogs in the pretty morning light. Duane showed up at 7:40 and turned the wind on. I then got about 1 and 1/2 hrs pretty powered 6.5 conditions, with a rainbow over the Stansburys in the morning light to put an even bigger smile on my face. Duane got some rides, but it backed off again and then, all three TEAM GRANTS showed up, Sr., Jr. and Jr.Jr., or more correctly, G1, G2 and G3. Luckily, they were wearing their matching t-shirts/team jerseys so I could tell them apart. (well, OK, just kidding) But get this -- they will all be windsurfing today. How cool is that?

Anyway, I made the sacrifice and no sooner had I derigged when it boosted up again and I saw screaming 7.5 rides as I drove away.

By the way, no confusion anymore on my part as to why it's called Grantsville.

Arrived late thinking it was going to start late.
Lots of slog and go on my 6.3m / 100 combo.
Then it really picked up 4.7 ish. Too bad my quiver is only 5.3 / 6.3 - either way it worked.
Great rides down the big 8" swell.
The new sails flip on a dime.
