Gorge 7/28 to 8/4

Susie and I left Salt Lake at the crack of dawn on Friday the 28th. Arrived at Maryhill SP to waterfront camp sites with friends and a great 11m sunset session. Sat morning woke to light wind that started to pick up and by noon was perfect 9m conditions. Had a nice long session and then went to the YES and STYX concert at the Maryhill Amphitheater. Woke sunday to wind in the morning, on the water by 9am with a 9m. Kited the morning and then drove to Hood River to meet Bob A and Sam T. Kited the event site with really good 9m conditions. Monday went to the Hatch with perfect 11m wind and Bob, Sam, Susie, Mike Birch, one other guy and myself were the only ones out for a good hour. Tuesday was perfect 7m at the Sandbar all day until about 6pm. Wed was an 11m day and then a BBQ and boccie ball at Bob's. Thurs the wind was up early but we had to drive. So tempting to get a session before the drive but wanted to get home at a decent hour. The Gorge rules. Susie and I didn't want to leave but duty calls.
