The wind came up around 2. It was light at first. I went out on the big board first and was having a suprizingly good time. It was nice, mellow fun cruising on the cool water. No pressure, no worries about failing to pull off the move I'm working on for the umpteenth time and having the kite crash and body dragging for ever. Yes, the 14 was quite adequate for cruising back and forth (or mowing the lawn as Todd calls it). Why was I on my 14? Well that brings up installment #82 of "Learn From Ralph's Mistakes". If you're crashing your kite often, whatever the reason may be, it's possible that the leading edge zipper will work itself open. I found out about it because the kite started to lose air when I was out on the water. When I checked it, the zipper was actually broken lower down, so I think it was partly open first. So check your zippers.........on your kites. (you guys have dirty minds) Oh, and the wind did pick up for a session on my smaller board.
