Sulfur Anyone?

Postby Trip Houk » Sat Jun 03, 2006 7:42 pm

It looks like it hit mid 20's at Sulfur today. Right On Craig! (even from a distance you can call it.) Anyone want to take a shot at Sulfur Sunday? The pattern looks similar. Give us a call if you decide to go. I had to put in another 60 miles to get ready for Logan. Hope to see some familiar faces.

Sulfer I wish

Postby DimitriMilovich » Sun Jun 04, 2006 8:57 am

Great idea, Trip, love to sail with you guys, but don't know if I'll make it. Duane and Grant and I were poised to go yesterday, but it just didn't look good. None of us have the clipper ship gear that Carl and Jimbo have to milk those sub-12 days. It's hard to say how well it did blow since the airport only showed a couple of readings with higher winds gusting into the 20's, and I'm thinking I remember that the airport is a more optimistic reading than whatever happens at the lake, but I'm willing (eager) to be wrong. The upper air is dead below 12,000 feet, and moving away from us tomoorow, so it's not encouraging.

Did anyone sail Sulfer yesterday??? Please report.

Today does look the same, and Duane and I might be talked into it. I love sailing there.

I'll give them a call on their cell and see if they can give us some feedback. Stay tuned, Trip

Tripper, almost made it...

I was on my way a bit after 12:00, but my cooling fan punked out this side of Parley's and I had to turn around. Looks like I missed a good one. (drat 'n double drat)
