Sulpher 8-30-06

When I left Brighton it was 22 gusting to 26 at Evanston airport. I got to Sulpher at 12:30 and was on the water by 1:00 with my 5.9 and floaty Mistral. Sailed for 2 hrs. It was a little up and down, but when it was up it was really sweet. After about an hour lunch break and flukey winds because of a big dark cloud, it filled in again and even kicked up a notch. I could have been on my 5.2 for a while but I just flattened the 5.9 a bit and stuck it out. I sailed untill about 6:00, hanging on in the gusts. Fun day enjoyed by 5 other sailers including the hookey playing family from Powder Mt. I think it's great that your son made you get back on the water. And by the way, Dave has the harness you left behind. He'll find you. I'm suprized that's all you forgot, considering all the stuff you had. Looks like I"ll try Pelican bay today and hope for the 15 to 20 they're calling for.
