Powder Mountain 9/23? anyone? what is the current status?

Billy, Jake, and myself are thinking of heading up to powder mountian tomorrow to see if we can't get some snow riding in. reports are saying there will be enough snow up there to at least dust off the ol rock boards. there might be more snow tonight too. a few questions though for you experienced pow mo ers:

1- what is the current status of riding there? since it's preseason i wouldn't think there would be an issue. i've hiked up closed resorts and skied and built kickers before with no problem. i didn't have a large kite in my hands though. will we ruin things with the resort management? i don't want to put our on-season riding at risk by doing this.

2- anyone have directions to the riding area? i would assume that if jake comes with us we will know exactly where to go, but he might not be in or we might have to meet him.

3- again- what are the weather indicators? i'll do a search and i might answer my own question.

4- anybody else in?

later,

Mike

I'm quite sure there is a gate on the road to the upper parking lot,
down around the corner, that would be locked.

I'm sure you could still hike in to the upper parking lot,
then hike to the radar towers.

It is private property, not forest service.
If there is a no trespassing sign,
then we better not push any wrong buttons up there.
that may be the type of thing that may push them to say
NO to snowkiting..

If your driving past Pineview anyway,
you may want to have your water gear, just in case.
