We learned Saturday that there are two forecasts, one for lower elevations under the inversion, and one for the ridge tops up above. Its hard to tell as we have limited info on where the inversion tops out and there are just generic winds aloft forecasts. However, checking on the Fairview webcam http://www.windzup.com/weather.htm , one can see if the clouds are below or above the peaks. Then check winds aloft and look for a good reading in the 9,000 foot range.

Plugging all that in makes today look like a repeat at Skyline with North winds in the 10-15 mph range.
