Is Rush Lake deep enough to windsurf in?

Postby bajabliss » Thu Apr 12, 2007 7:56 am

Good morning boardheads,

According to the latest weather report, South winds are on tap for Saturday (although I won't believe it until I hear it from Craig). Is it worth a trip to Rush Lake with the sailboards or should I not even bother?

Yes, I know, I should get my kites out. But my kiteboard is being held hostage in Portland, OR and efforts to secure its release have failed. Negotiations continue, however.

Leave the windsurfing gear at home. it wouldn't be worth it. Rush isn't deep. The deepest is 3 ft but it really short.

Just show up with your kiteboarding skill. I have some gear to loan you for the day.
