Lost Kite Deer Creek 16M waroo Pink in kite bag

Postby MikE mAy » Sat Jun 16, 2007 6:55 pm

apparently i'm a moron and shouldn't be kiteboarding. this is the second piece of kiteboarding equipment i left at teh beach in teh last week. i was up at deer creek with the racers today and left my 16M waroo on the beach somewhere. last two places i saw it where either up by the signup pavilion or down on the northernmost grassy area. it has rear line pulleys installed and actually only has one pigtail installed becuase i acidentially pulled it off last time i used it.

if anyone saw this kite or thought to grab it, give me a call and i'll bring over some beer or some sort of a reward and pick it up.

thanks!

Mike May

offering reward for any info about this kite. i know this is a long shot, but i'm pretty worried where this kite might have ended up. i've contacted deer creek parks dept. and hopefully it shows up there. i think this is one of the only all pink 16M waroos here locally. the others that have them i think are stokes and possibly spencer. please, if anyone sees a pink waroo with some patched holes in the canopy as well as a restitch on the LE, this is my kite and i need it back!!!

can anyone think of who MIGHT have picked it up? any summer games people or windsurfers playing pick up after the event that might have grabbed it?

also, please check your gear just to be sure. i'm pretty sure i placed it next to some other piles of kites and gear. maybe you picked it up by accident?

I have a 16m pink bularoo. I almost lifted stokes pink 16m waroo by accident and he yelled HEY.....!, so I backed off. I hoped I had lifted yours by accident, but no luck. Sorry Mike, good luck.

Found your kite. Sorry I grabbed it by mistake. I was borrowing my buddies pink '06 Waroo (same as yours) and put that in a bigger bag with a bunch of other kites. Then when I was packing out. I must have grabbed your's as well thinking that it was his. I haven't kited since Saturday and just noticed it today. Call me and i'll get it back to you.

YAAAHHOO! Now that its not so serious, I about puked when I pulled my 16m pink kite out for the first time. It was more than I could handle. And to think I'm stuck with it this winter. EEEW! Ooh well, better than no kite at all.

two things:

spencer!!!!! i have been seriously sick all week knowing that i was such an idiot that i left a kite somewhere. it's one thing if it gets stolen, but it hurts a lot worse when you are the idiot to blame... i've been kicking myself in the ass all week. anyway- thanks so much! i'll call you or keep in touch for the next time you or i go ride. i can finally look at those slim chances to kite again.

(also, do you get texts? i feel like i sent you a text saturday when i realized i lost my kite...)

and to les-
it might be a few years back now and is probably fopa (however you spell that word) but i thought "pink is punk." i kind of like the pink kite. not quite as good as neon yellow, but still good.... just be thankful it dosent' have pictures of kittens on the canopy.

pray for wind!
