Manta II 15M - First Impressions

I have flown the 15M Manta II four times now while landboarding. All four times the wind was light (8 - 12 mph). My other kites that are similar in size/characteristics are a Speed 2 15M and SA 19M. I have owned a Frenzy 14, 12, and still have some smaller sizes.

Equipment:
Same bomber build quality that Ozone has built their reputation on. The new bar is sweet. I was most impressed with the chickenloop that appears to be not only incredibly strong, but is also easy to operate, no fiddling with multiple loops when putting the loop back together. Much better than Flysurfer's chicken loop.

The bridling system on the Ozone is far less complex than the Speed 2. The larger diameter bridles make setup fast and easy. I would just throw it out and go, no sorting out small rats nests.

Flying:
Handles light wind well, no backstalling or sudden folding. Very stable compared to the old Frenzy. It doesn't fly in the lightest of breezes like the SilverArrow, but I think it matches the Speed 2 15M.

I need a windier session before I can report on turning, range, and boosting capabilities. I sure would like to take it out on the snow soon.
