Grantsville Wind Meter

I sent the following email to the listed controlling entity for the wind meter @ Grantsville Reservoir.
If anyone has any other contact information I am willing to see if I can get it repaired. John Freed - I know you contacted them last year. Do you have that contact information in the event the email below gets not results?

The wind meter has been out at Grantville Reservoir since last fall. The meter is missing the propeller. Do you have any plans to repair it?

Just posting this reply for future reference. I will contact Toeele County Emergency Management today and post the results as soon as I have information.

Thank you for contacting us about a station needing repairs. Unfortunately, we do not own or manage this station, we simply receive and display the data we are given. The Grantsville Reservoir station is owned and operated by Tooele County Emergency Management. Please contact them and let them know what is going on with their station and they will have a better idea on when they will be able to repair it. Talked to Andy @ Tooele County Emergency Management. He was aware the wind meter was inop. Not sure he knew the prop was missing. He said they had the parts to fix it and it was on their to do list but not near the top. I told him what I and others used it for and told him we would be appreciative of having the wind meter back when they could get to it. I am hopeful it will happen reasonably soon. It was a good conversation.

I've left a bunch of messages for Bucky Whitehouse who is the guy I have been communicating with at Tooele Management Emergency Management, and as of late he hasn't returned my calls. I will keep trying. Last time I talked to him (2-3 months ago), he said they had ordered the parts and would install when they received them. I'll keep on it! We all really miss that meter!!!!!

Received the following email this morning from Andy Tanner. Yeah... it sounds like we might get the meter back soon!

John,

I am the contact for the weather stations in Tooele.
I am doing the best that I can, we are very understaffed and each of us are doing the work of many.
I understand that you guys miss the weather station in Grantsville and I am doing the best I can to get it in my schedule.
The weather station is low priority for me at this point and will work it in as soon as possible.
My critical infrastructure will always come first because this is what keeps all of us safe!
Hopefully by the end of next week I will have it fixed. Please be patient and contact me in the future if there are issues with this site.
