Where to ride 8/28

Well, the North wind never showed yesterday, sorry about that folks,
with 30.11 I probably should have known better. Not much potential
today. Might be a ride or 2 at DC mid afternnoon, but it looks
pretty slim.

Last night I saw something on the news that stirred my soul. Something I haven't seen on the news for a long time. Plastered across the map of Utah was the word "WINDY." The weatherman forecasts strong south winds Tuesday and Wednesday, with gusts up to 40 mph.

Now, here is my question to you, do I rig my 5.2 or my 4.2? Just kidding, I am interested on learning how to know where the strongest area of the front will be. Should I head South (Yuba or MM19) or North (Willard Bay or Bear Lake?)
How does a weather man determine direction of the front?
