7/3 - Where to Ride by a total amateur

Craig is working hard at the Gorge, so I thought I would post that you may wish to watch for a possible north at ULLB this afternoon/evening. Unlike Craig, I am not willing to try to specify the time. However, the forecast calls for a bit stronger north flow than yesterday. Yesterday's north was just strong enough for some huge kite riding at ULLB. Looks better for today, but we are still talking big kites IF it fires. Just watch the SL International Airport and Bluffdale. If you see both of those go over 12 mph for more than a couple hours, chances are good.

DC may fire as well (now I am really going out on a limb)

Lake Point Ponds/Salt Ponds/Burmester should all have a nice light north wind this afternoon.

Enjoy the warm temps and have a great 4th of July!

i'm with Kenny.

hoping for UL this afternoon, 4 or 5pm till 8 or later. North 12-17 at alpine already at noon. brown schmutz called air in SL valley is currently flushed to somone else's backyard indicating north flow. actually SL and Tooele valleys are both currently north. sailing possibility is real. how about a Saratoga run Jim? If provo airport threatens to hit 12-13 you are good to go. cross your fingers. btw, it doesn't suffer DC holes.

if it's weak it's formula but guessing 75% or greater chance that my 12.5, 11.7, and 9.8 will stay in their bags. Actually there is enough potential that the formula gear might not even make the trip, that means light slalom gear. I'll check before i go. Dimitri?
