SKYLINE REPORT SATURDAY 12/1/07

Postby windzup » Sat Dec 01, 2007 5:05 pm

Friday put 10 inches on top of Skyline and 3 inches in the valley by 8pm. Friday night put another foot on top of that and Saturday has been a snowing white out all day.
Hard to judge final outcome until Sunday, as it was light powder and blowing everywhere. There was a thick wet base covered in light pow, and it was switching to thicker snow again on Saturday afternoon at 3pm as we headed down.

Not a good day to be at Skyline, the road plow only went through once, snow all over, and total whiteout most of the time. Due to flat light and limited visibility the riding became more advanced conditions...and there were a lot of three foot deep powder holes to suck you in.

All said I flew an 8m, 9m and then 13m before calling it a cold day and dropping back to the valley.

Sunday looks like the first epic day of the season, and there will be a large crew of snowkiters at the Triangle Lounge in Mt. Plez tonight preparing for the dawn patrol.

See you out there.
