Wow! That's pretty sketchy but very sick... The cool thing is that the records are pretty close so it'll be interesting to see some of the windsurfers try to kick it up a notch now.

The landscape looks like Mojave... Jason, time to make a trip to Namibia. Set the record w/your kite.

The 50 kt. barrier will likely be broken during this event and will be a huge milestone for speedsailing. Fred Haywood broke the 30 kt. barrier. Eric Beale broke the 40 kt. barrier. Bjorn Dunkerbeck is at this event as well but his times have been well off the pace of the kiters!
