The latest from Chasta's Utah exploration.........

Postby windzup » Thu Feb 23, 2006 10:27 pm

The only boundaries are our own minds. I realized today that I have been limiting myself by my own fears. Afraid of leaving wind to find better wind, afraid to explore beyond my comfort zone, afraid to think outside of what I know is possible. For years now Chasta keeps repeating that Snowkiting has no boundaries, and after two weeks of tryin to follow him, I'm starting to open my mind and share the vision. In just two weeks this guy has riden more miles on new terrain thats in my own backyard, and its in areas I've never looked at or thought were not accessible.

Here's the shots from the latest foray into the vastness of Utah's Strawberry Reservoir. While a lot of it is amazing new terrain, what you can't see is how high the mounains are and how far they stretch. Sometimes its open routes, but often it is very technical and scetchy routes up slopes thru trees to reach an open ridge line. From there its like chutes and ladders meandering up and across miles of endless Snowkiting paradise.

Just look at the pow and drool. I did.
