Learn to ... - Windsurf Clinic

Postby Josh Shirley » Wed Jul 27, 2011 9:21 am

Next week as part of giving back to the Utah Windsurfing community, I want to put on clinic / lightwind sail together day.

Day: Either Friday August 5th or Saturday August 6th (depending on the forecast.)
Location: to be determined by wind conditions as well.
I will post details next week.

Material: short board tacks and a simple approach to the heli tack.

On land discussion for about 30 minutes.

Come and join the group.

Bring a big board, and medium to small sail (something easy to uphaul.)

I will have 4 beginner boards on hand, for those that need big boards.

Feel free to email me if you have questions.

Update...

I know it is 5 / 6 days away, but the Grantsville forecast is already looking good for both Friday and Saturday morning.

I have tried swinging some demo gear for the event. With the outdoor retail show this week, Starboard / Severne might have three or four demo sails for me. Cross my fingers they can find room in their trailer.

I will get there early for the good stuff. New windsurfers we would fair better with less wind, so later for them (10:30am)
