Equipment Advice for Newbie

Postby davidstice » Sat Mar 11, 2006 5:58 pm

I am headed for Sea of Cortez in April, but don't want to take my sailing dinghy. Any recommendations for windsurfers to take? Would like to take 2, one easy and the other a little more challenging. I presume that I can carry these on a Suburban roof rack. I am 5'7" and 165 lb. My girls are 5'4"-5'6" and 130-135. Also, any ideas on where to rent, borrow, or beg?

Thanks, David

David,

I have never been to where you are going but... Advice I would give you is do not bring your own gear... If you can rent... Renting is soo much less hassle... Just go and sail... Have fun. Hmmm... If you are driving... You might bring gear.... But going that far I am starting to believe that renting is the way to go... IF you are staying under a week... Just bring your own simple items (harness, booties, helmet etc.)
