Started out light downwinders, then it started to pick up about 1:00pm. I met Jacob and his crew, the nicest people in the kiting world. It was amazing to watch these guys work the art even in the lightest wind, I had a difficult time wrapping my wee little brain around it all. Lots of good kiters out everyone having a good time. Thanks Jacob for the entertainment, I probably learned more in five minutes watching you than I did on my own in the last year.

Not the high winds i was expecting and looking for, but not a bad day. Arrived around 1 to find people out on big kites. Decided to be optimistic and pumped the 10m. Proceded to sit around for about an hour, kicking myself for coming to willard for the second half of that. just when i was about to head out on a big kite, the wind came in and i had about 2 hours well powered on the 10. Took a break and most people left at that point. Finally did have to pump the 14m for the second session, but pretty juiced on that (maybe could have been on the ten for a while there) and the wind was smoother for the second session. got another 1.5 hrs, sharing the water with only Kevin and two windsurfers. kinda made my day when late in the session a boat with 2 fathers and 3 10ish yr old boys came by. Threw a jump nearby and the 3 boys were screaming "WOW, Cool, etc" - who knew i could be cool at 46?

To bad we can't kite at night,
best winds were in the dark.
