Even later and weaker than yesterday, but still enough to dish up occasional brief episodes of planing. During my first reach out (at about 5:45) I noticed a large orange/black/white kite (a 17m Ozone Zephyr as it turns out) at Barbed Wire; two tacks later, it was to windward of the Island with Billy and his race board in tow. At which point Billy very wisely headed back downwind to BB; twilight wind at DC is notorious for shutting down abruptly and without warning. A short session, but one that exceeded expectations (which were zero.)
