I thought one of the 20+ kiters on the water last night would post, but when I checked this afternoon....nothing. so here it is. I left slc at 5 and did not get on the water til 7 due to heinous traffic. Kited from 7-9(dark) fully powered on 13m/surfboard. The sunset was fantastic with the smokey skies, like kiting on another planet. It was the most kiters I have ever seen at SSB, I think I saw at least 20 kites on the water. The beach is now huge and sandy, excellent for parking, rigging and bare feet, I am still always careful to watch for nails, glass etc. The access road is good for any vehicle, if you have low clearance pick your line carefully.
