5/8 Rush SA & Glide

Wind was not gusty, more up and down. When I arrived at 5 PM Patrick was there rigged and ready to go. I went out and he packed everything up and left after 20 minutes because the wind was light. I would estimate that with a 16M kite and a regular size board, you could ride 50% of the time - with the huge kite, huge board combo I could ride 100% of the time. Water was sweet with small ripples and a long buttery trail down the west side of the lake. Not sure what causes it, but you only see it when the wind averages less than 15 mph. Wind was strong enough to really get good airs on the big kite. Just a bit lonely out there. Rode for 2 hours and did downwind and upwind excurisions to both ends of the lake just for kicks.

Kenny I was also perplexed by the "buttery trail" I think its caused by a small point at the north end of the lake, then the shallow water with plant life must disapate the wave lengths. I'm just quessing. I had a lot of fun ripping turns in it also!!

Any one getting out today?? I am planing on heading out around 2.
