The wind swung around from N to SW at 12:15 and was quickly gusting to about 20. John Dubock and I got to the beach shortly thereafter and rigged a 7.0 and a 6.6, respectively. Next on the scene was George Ward, followed by Sarah & Linda and Floridian Ron Kern, who quickly vanished up the lake on his Mike's Lab Formula, powered by a 10.5 race sail. Humbling! Layne and Cindy had a look around, then headed off to check out Rainbow Bay. Just as we poleboarders were starting to think about derigging, several darksiders appeared and, by virtue of aggressive power stroking, were able to ride the rapidly diminishing wind quite successfully.
