8/31 Pineview Stringtown 4 desparate kiters and Kenny

I just like saying it, Stringtown. Barely got some reaches in. Wind was so taunting. Sometimes a steady 12-15, then not enough to keep the kite in the air. Kenny was having a good time, at times, but had to work for it. He definately made the best of it. Any luck after I left?

Les,

I should have pulled out the SilverArrow, it kept promising more, but it never filled in. The best wind was about the time you left, it blew for around 30 minutes solid and then got flukey again. I packed up around 4.

I do like Pineview. I may come back again tomorrow. I am going to keep an eye on DC. DC had better wind today.

Another good day on Saturday

Postby kenclewis » Sun Sep 02, 2007 10:02 am

First, I want to thank Les for mentioning this new spot. I hit Pineview on Saturday about 1:30pm. The wind was already blowing about 14-15mph. I set up and took off and had a great time for a couple of hours. It was still on again/off again but, all in all, not too bad. There were a couple of new guys up from Salt Lake, Grant and Devin. They are friends of Jason who was there on Thursday. They weren't quite as fortunate to be out there when the wind was at its best but they made the best of it. All in all, the best day I've ever had, on the water that is!

Ken, saw you guys out there from middle inlet as I was heading off to Bear Lake. Must say, I was jealous, and proud to see a clan of kiters out at Pineview.
