We arrived at Grantsville Saturday morning to the expected light north wind. But we brought two grandkids for a camping trip so there was plenty of fun to be had. The wind woke us up at 4:00 Sunday morning. I wanted to start rigging at dawn but the motor home was only 50 degrees so I cranked the heater up and crawled out at 7:00. The wind was great. I sailed the 6.0 from 7:45 to noon using the little Sonic 85 for some ripping rides. From 9:15 to 10:30 I could have been on a 5.0 but I knew there wasn’t time to re-rig. Jim and Mike were rigging by the time I hit the water and several others showed up. Sarah and Linda were waiting for Mona to crank up so they showed up late but still caught some good rides. I had hoped for some afternoon rides but Burmester was north by noon and Grantsville followed an hour later. I am glad we didn’t wait around because I don’t think it came back until 7:00. It was a great Mother’s day with Penny and my Grandkids and some great sailing for icing on the cake. The only downer is how fast the lake is going down. Last year was a poor snow winter and Grants filled up through the fence. This year we had great snowfall and Grants didn’t get anywhere close to filling. It is at the level now where it was at the end of June last year.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.

Great morning on my 95 liter and 5.6. I hope it starts to filling back up. Looks like it is at the same level last July. Where are we going to sail if we lose our glory hole? Fun time with everyone. Big turn out for the G-spot on Mothers Day.

Same water situation at Rush. We all thought the run off would contiue to add water but it's gone down a lot in the last two weeks. Where's it going or not coming from?

Same problem of low water at DC and somewhat Jordanelle. DC is as low as late last year, not as low as its ever been (the fine carpet is under water somewhere), but you can count on trailering down to the waters edge. No neck high sand blows, its all gone. Jim Southwick rode for 4hrs, Kiddy Formula 158, 54cm Deb fin, 7.5, average 15K, high 39. Fingers of wind, not a lake filler. Water isn't so bad, probably 55. Not exactly bath water, but it doesn't take your breath away.
