Well, we are going for the first relatively warm (above 50 degrees!) day on a North wind between now and June 2nd! If not by then, then we'll push it to the fall sometime. So, my point is to have another option for a back up boat. My brother and nephews helped last year but it's kind of a spur of the moment thing. There's like a 1 or 2 day heads up when we know that a good north will be coming through... I know it's a little difficult and a lot to ask but it's kind of what we have with doing it here and on Utah lake... But actually, most windsurfing races are that way, the only difference is, where they hold them the wind is much more consistent ... Anyway, yeah, talk to them... We'll shoot for a thurs, fri, sat, or Mem day, but if a good enough afternoon presents itself, we'll go for that.
Thanks Tom, Rick.
I'll call ya.
HERE I GOT OFF TRACK A BIT!
If Rush were full it'd be easy. Actually, it would be a different thing all together. For me, half of the fun is doing it on Utah lake. When Utah Lake is on, really there's no better place to sail around here. ooh, actually, I'm having all kinds of arguments come up in my mind to that... My best session of my entire life, possibly anywhere, was Lake Powell. (Actually at 9 years of age at lake powell is where I had my first windsurf experience). But I think it was July 2005, boardshorts, 100 degree air, 80 degree water, 32-35mph wind for 5 hours and HUGE swell up in Bullfrog... Spirit altering Red rock, sweet beaches, and clean sandstone rigging areas... Houseboat, so much to do, hiking, last year we made scuba a part of it on 300 foot walls into the abyss, it goes on and on... But that's a can o' worms, good worms... Cuz yes it's far to the south and all frontal. Actually, down in Wahweap canyons past Antelope point up the canyon we parked the houseboat in a place where an evening thermal came through and I sailed fan-like 6.7... Now I'm dreaming... And have started a conversation with myself here! That's what this sport does to me!

Actually, it'd be kind of fun to have a thread where people can post some of their favorite pics of all time, favorite sessions... I like seeing pics of other's sessions around the globe.
Here's a couple pics of that trip... And the one with really red rock was a sunsetter shot... The colors are genuine. Believe it or not. Might have been one autocorrection on that one.

- 95 degree air ~80 degree water

- Evening thermal

- Across the canyon, pic taken from Houseboat.

- A midnight small cliff jump into the abyss (~30ft) w/ nephew. Only at Powell.
