6.26 island beach

Postby Carl Christensen » Fri Jun 27, 2008 9:15 am

My first day on the water at DC. Really glad to be on it. Lunkers breaching in the summer sun. Sailed 1-3pm. about as smooth a push as you can expect anywhere, let alone DC, for the first hour and a half. It happens. Not a schlog reach in the bunch even after 2:30. 2 solid hours of educational fun. 4 or 5 sailors including John D, Tom, George, Steve. Hardly a motor head to be had. Kiters came up after a while and had it going too. All in all very nice sailing. The water is now easily warm enough to sail without neoprene. Parking lot empty. Guard in the shack. No Jim S though. No Paul or Angie either.

Re: 6.26 island beach--JP 135 6.2 and 7.5 sails

From 11:30 to 1:30 pm powered niced on the 6.2, then slowly deteriorated to the 7.5. Karl never slogged because he studded up as usual on a 9.0. A fine day.
