Gorge 6/14 - 6/29 3.7 to 5.4

Plenty of wind in the Gorge for our trip. Rode the 4.2 alot, 3.7 more than usual, 4.7 and 5.4 a couple of times. Water temps felt cold @ 57 when we started and up to a balmy 61 by the time we left. Air temp were not all that warm either, which had us in our dry suits most days. But the wind and swell was there, some days in a big way. I was happy that we had purchased a 64 ltr board for the high wind days. It helped make it a bit more manageable and fun on the big days. Huge swell @ Swell a couple days. As big as we have tried on the river. I still have not sailed 3 Mile though, and hear it's still bigger out there. We never made it any further east than Dougs, and tried easterlies @ Stevenson 1 time. Mostly ended up at the Hack and Swell, for some Resort type sailing.

Crowds seemed lighter than past years, maybe gas prices, maybe cool weather, not sure, but it was nice. Looking forward to heading back the end of the Month, for more swell fun.
