July 4th-6th, Sulphur, Fontenelle, Fremont Lake.. 6.2 x 3

Ha!

Now that was a fun weekend! I had a DH race in WhitePine near Pinedale WY so I figured I'd drag my gear with me! Well.. I should have taken just one board one sail...

Started Friday, about 3 hours of really good sailing at Sulphur: 6.2 and 101l board. Got a million good rides with a few lulls in between.
Left around 4:00 PM tired and smiling. Fun sharing the lake with a good crew although surprisingly small.
2 hours later as I am driving by Fontenelle I can’t help but notice the place is capping all over… What can I do but go?.. 1o minutes later I am on it again.. 6.2.. 101 liters. It seems I got there a little too late though and the fun lasted only maybe 15’.
Not a soul on the lake! Well there was a dead cow with all 4 legs sticking in the air on the shore.. Hum … dead cow – jet ski –dead cow – jet ski… Yeah I’ll pick dead cow ;)

Well I had to so some biking after all since I went up there to do this so no windsurfing Saturday but today while driving down the wind on Fremont Lake was just nuking! Not a boat on the lake.. big chop! I decide to rig 6.2 super flat… 2 good reaches.. Again I was too late it seems.. oh well.

Back on the road… Fontenelle is at it again! 5h30 PM… I decide to pass after 2 near skunks… I still wonder if it was the right choice… Humm decisions decisions..

Yeah I’ll call that a good WE :)

we should have followed Manny through WY. He had SC dialed on his 6.2, us sub humans needed 7.5's to keep up with him. The only time he came off a plane was when he locked himself out of his car, a brief moment of panic. Tom Witt is The Big Lebowski, he faked his beloved Hackery and kept us entertained. Lots of empty camp sites in the Uintahs Fri night. Sat on the water at 11:45, alone for two hours, 7.5, till Sarah, Marty, Ralph, Doug, Layne/Cyndi showed, but it was up and down. Evanston, the home of real beer, real cowboys and real fireworks is ready for the August 15 annual UWA Gathering of the Tribal Trailers. Sort of a warmup for Bejing's Olympics, Wallymart has lifes' essentials dumbed down to a science, and the crew at Starbucks obviously uses the product. Crimson nape behavior was non existent, except for a family that let their kid walk on my Hypersonic in the parking lot, good thing it wasn't Milo's yellow Roberts board, it would have perma footprints on the deck. Water level high, no weeds.

DC on Sunday was DC as usual, get it early, then a massive Poltergust like cloud over Timp shut it down fast.

the following is a secret encoded message for Hypersonic brothers...added at 56cm carbon fin to the HS 125, earlier planing than the wimpy stock, noodle 44cm. ok so jibing is a bit slow...translation: when Carl C is on his stealth 12.0, we mortals might be able to keep him at least in sight and point much higher, plane sooner.
