I set my alarm for short of 6 to see Grantsville slowly climbing into zone. Once out there, many sailors already working on planing time over drive time ratio. I was powered up and occasionally OP'd. I was impressed as there were probably sails in the 7 ish range and they were holding them down in the gusts. Great place for smooth fast jibes on the east. Dimitri, Grant, George, John and Jim and a couple others all had their fill and were working it out when I left at about 10:30. I appreciated George had a nice plow into the liquid just after I did with a few hollers (hope you don't mind the account). I think I saw quite a few getting wet. I couldn't quite keep up with Dimitri and Grant as we were all chasing around the reaches and they had it nicely dialed. I went with my trust old Rushwind and it has such power and downhauled past its specs, but there is a reason we have our favorites.
I was stopped by the fisherman tending a rope around a rock (don't know exactly the type of fishing they were up to). He looked like he was going to let me know about some territorial issues. He started in by saying "my eye, my eye" and I came to find out he was saying thanks as I helped him with his cataracts about a year ago. I don't speak much Bosnian. It was good to see (mind the pun) and I am glad he approached me.
Overall, great morning session and hope the rest still had some as I left.
