Drove up at 5 or 5:30 to a nice breeze and one kiter on the water with what looked like a huge Liquid Force (Havoc?) up. Rigged up with Billy, Arpi, Billy's friends Vicki and Dave, Jake, Mark J, Todd, and was that Dean? (Sorry if I forgot anyone). Lulled for a bit before sunset, but came back on for a mint sunset session under an early-rising (nearly) full moon. I'm pretty sure it doesn't get any better than SSB. A mess of well-powered kiters on 9 and 11 m Instincts and Waroos. A welcome end to a long streak of windless days and desperation kiting; I hope it means the start of the fall wind season.
Awards go out to Vicki for getting on the board and staying there. Second session! W00t!
Jake gets it for being the hardest-charging mothertrucker on the beach. I forget we've got, like, local pros, and stuff.
And finally, a warm how-do-ya-do going out to Billy "Why worry about a broken foot when you've got testicles like these?" Bordy. I think it's safe to say that we can rebuild him -- we have the technology.
Word on the beach was that it should blow even harder tomorrow. Go get some.
