I had my family in tow so I chose the more family friendly Lincoln beach with nice bathrooms for the wife and kids. We arrived at 5, I was rigged and on the water in my 3/2 wettie just before 5:30. Had the place all to myself and rode for 2 hrs. Still very much a rookie, it was my best session ever. I was able to stay upwind and after one mishap that caused me to lose all my progress and then some, I was still able to get back upwind and back to base without having to walk! I was super excited about that. Had one small lull at about 6:15 or 6:30 I think. Was about to call it a night but it picked back up and the kids were having fun playing so I headed back out. I know I missed the party at SSB, I could see some kites in the air from where I was. But the flat water was good practice for me. I ventured out to the waves a few times but mostly in the effort for a longer reach to get upwind. I had a great time and it's just getting more and more fun!
